Who you're working with

Hi, I'm Derrick — the Sleep Detective.

I started Sleep Detective after years of struggling to fix my insomnia. I tried everything: circadian lighting, blackout bedrooms, temperature-regulating mattress toppers, sound machines, light and sound blockers, dietary changes, cognitive-behavioral therapy, supplement strategies. Some interventions worked, but with each solution a new problem would arise, especially as I traveled and changed homes frequently. Eventually, everything "clicked", and I started getting consistently great sleep.

I learned a great deal about circadian biology and sleep science. Friends and family started coming to me with their sleep issues. Helping them felt great, so I decided to offer my expertise to the world! I work with a small number of clients, so I can stay close to the details and ensure the highest quality work. If your sleep doesn't change, I haven't done my job.
